Navarone bay

N

Navarone bay is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular bays on the island. Just south of Lindos, this sandy stretch was used as the setting for the 1961 film The Guns of Navarone, which gave it its name.

The water in Navarone bay is captivating and so clear that some customers named it “A swimming pool in the sea”. There is a striking contrast between the arid landscape and the turquoise waters. Fringed by two luxury hotels and a popular swim stop for day cruises, the beach is idyllic and less commercial than those in the village.

Awesome location that not many people know about.

Visiting Navarone Bay with rental boat

Navarone Bay (Psaltos) is located north from our water sports center.
The distance from our Water Sports Center is just 4 miles (7km) and you need approx. 15-20 mins (depending of the rented boat) to reach Navarone Bay.
We recommend to hire a boat for 2-3 hours if you are planning a visit to that bay.
